UPDATE - 1/5/2012
USDA allows "The WORST COMPANY" to do their own Environmental Impact Studies... so we get Corn with Agent Orange ingredient... WTF?!  USDA

"Biotech giant Monsanto has once again been declared the worst company of 2011 by NaturalSociety for threatening both human health and the environment. ...
In a powerful review of 19 studies analyzing the dangers of GMO crops such as corn and soybeans, researchers revealed some shocking information regarding the safety of these popular food staples. Researchers found that consumption of GMO corn or soybeans may lead to significant organ disruptions in rats and mice—particularly in the liver and kidneys. This is particularly concerning due to the fact that 93 percent of U.S. soybeans are known to be genetically modified. Ignoring this evidence, Monsanto continues to expand their genetic manipulation."

"While the USDA attempts to assure the public that 2,4-D is safe, scientists have raised serious concerns about the safety of this herbicide, which was used as a key ingredient in “Agent Orange,” used to defoliate forests and croplands in the Vietnam War.
2,4-D is a chlorophenoxy herbicide, and scientists around the world have reported increased cancer risks in association with its use, especially for soft tissue sarcoma and malignant lymphoma. Four separate studies in the United States reported an association with chlorophenoxy herbicide use and non-Hodgkin lymphoma."

~ Before reading the following article, it is worth noting that Obama appointed Monsanto shill Tom Vilsack as USDA Secretary Jan, 2009*  ~
--- Big Brother is just taking care of us.
Read the article and look at the 37 pages to list the 4million+ POISONED ANIMALS for ONE YEAR (*2009). The INTENTIONALLY KILLED WILDLIFE include hawks, deer, foxes, beavers, bears, wolves, mountain lions, otters, rabbits, prairie dogs, swans, turtles, squirrels, woodpeckers... and all kinds of birds.  This is heartbreaking and incredibly WRONG!

Michael R. Taylor, has just been promoted from US Food Safety Czar to Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the FDA,  Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/034847_Michael_Taylor_Monsanto_FDA.html#ixzz1nVF6FoYB

The revolving door of Monsanto is not just for the FDA, EPA and SCOTUS; the USDA has a few Monsanto  folks of their own.  US Department of Agriculture is steadily growing bad results from that hopeless Obama-change!   You may recall that earlier this year, the USDA said they would allow biotech companies like Monsanto to police themselves.  Well, say hello to MON 87705 and MON 87460I'll never get used to 'food' that sounds more like food additive or an auto-tag, but isn't it nice of them to allow the makers of Agent Orange to do their own Environmental Impact Studies.  Yeah, I guess it is like the Justice Dept allowing the fraudulent financial industry to investigate and report their own crimes... people can die when economies collapse.  I wonder if Camp FEMA will be the first to serve up some MON 87705 and MON 87460... or soylent green.  Why do we even bother having the Justice Dept, USDA, FDA and EPA?  Regulations don't mean a thing when they're not enforced or their responsibility is handed over to the frauds, super-polluters, big-pHARM and big-ag.  The alphabet-agencies are a great idea, but the people frauds in charge aren't doing their job... not for 'The People' anyway, but it's all part of the globalist agenda.

'Monsanto’s Vistive Gold Soybean Trait Receives USDA Deregulation';
Dec 22 2011 --- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced it has deregulated the biotech trait, MON 87705, in Monsanto’s Vistive Gold soybeans.

NO! NO! NO!  Not another USDA approved Genetically Altered Crop.  ARRGH!
Scientists say conventional breeding is the better solution for drought.  But you see, it's not about the crop, it is about CONTROL!

'Monsanto Corn Unlikely To Help Drought-Stricken Farmers':
Yesterday, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced it would allow unlimited planting of a genetically modified variety of corn designed by Monsanto Co. to be resistant to certain kinds of droughts. The company and the USDA have both admitted the crop will fare only modestly better than current conventional varieties under low- and moderate-level drought conditions. This means that this corn will be useful only for a fraction of corn acres – just 15 percent by USDA estimates.

In addition, there are several types of new drought-tolerant corn, made through conventional breeding, in the United States and abroad likely to do as well or better than Monsanto’s corn. Data from U.S. researchers suggest that conventional breeding is producing drought tolerance two to three times faster than genetic engineering.

Below is a statement from Doug Gurian-Sherman, senior scientist for the Union of Concerned Scientists’ Food & Environment Program:

“Monsanto’s new corn will not be a silver bullet for farmers suffering from the kind of severe drought facing the Southwest right now. While the industry continues to say it’ll do better, achieving substantially higher levels of drought tolerance with genetically modified crops in the foreseeable future is uncertain. Furthermore, it’s unlikely this drought-resistant crop will actually save water as Monsanto would like everyone to believe. Classical crop breeding can produce drought-resistant crops that are cheaper and more effective than what Monsanto has come up with.

“Ultimately, the only way to address the water challenges that American farmers face every day will require readdressing how we farm, which crops we breed and grow, and how we allocate the water we use to farm. The biotechnology industry has been working on drought-tolerant and water-saving crops for more than a decade, and the results so far, while useful, are underwhelming compared to conventional techniques like breeding. At most, this crop is a Band-Aid, not a cure.”

"Monsanto's genetically engineered, drought resistant corn is deregulated, the U.S. Agriculture Department said Thursday, clearing the variety for sale.... USDA announced the variety, known as MON 87460, 'is no longer considered a regulated article under our regulations governing the introduction of certain genetically engineered organisms.'"

You are what you eat... Grow your own, buy food that is organic and of heirloom variety when possible; support your small local farms. Grow, save and store 'heirloom seeds'; they are a must have for your emergency supply because they will ensure Food for Freedom for generations to come!  It may cost a few pennies more but the cost of freedom lost to frankenfood is PRICELESS!  Besides, WE are worth it!  Control your own life!

a few reminders,
Dangerous New Pathogen affects plants and animals...
Is this deadly new pathogen linked to Monsanto's Roundup?!  Dr. Huber thinks it is so he warned Vilsack, the head of the USDA about this new pathogen and said this should be "treated as an emergency"! He wanted Vilsack to test before approving GE alfalfa but Vilsack approved alfalfa anyway. Vilsack Alfalfa is the third largest crop in the United States. I am not a scientist but it seems plausible that altering the very foundation of life will back-fire sooner or later. Every precaution should be taken to ensure safety of crops, but this is GOV Inc.

Help stop former Monsanto VP from attaining top position at the FDA - sign the petition:

(NaturalNews) The one man who may be responsible for more food related illnesses and deaths than anyone in history, Michael R. Taylor, has just been promoted from US Food Safety Czar to Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the FDA, a position which would enable the giant biotech company Monsanto to silently and legally feed cancer causing vegetables to every living person who is not 100% strictly organic.

President Obama has appointed the former Monsanto Vice President and lobbyist Michael R. Taylor to the throne. This is the
same man who was Food Safety Czar for the FDA when Genetically Modified Organisms were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety or risks. This is like putting a terrorist in charge of the world's food supply. What will the cancer numbers look like in 2016?

Michael Taylor is part of a revolving door at the FDA, where Monsanto Execs just come and go as they please. First, Michael R. Taylor was an assistant to the FDA commissioner. Then he left to work for a law firm in the 1980's to help gain FDA approval of Monsanto's artificial growth hormone (rGBH), which is directly linked to cancer. Then he became deputy commissioner of the FDA in 1991, and was later re-appointed to the FDA in 2009 by Obama. He is the food villain who tried his best to keep this "malignant milk of the turn of the century" from being labeled.

Michael Taylor is the epitome of everything Monsanto represents.

Monsanto has a long and dirty history of bullying neighboring farms, allowing their seed to scatter into the neighboring fields and then suing the farmer for growing their product. They have done this many times, and won every time. Puts the farmer out of business, they buy his land cheap...

This is the company that removes the seed's ability to reproduce, so the farmer cannot create seed from his produce, but must purchase new seed each year. An extremely dangerous practice, should disease strike their registered product. We could find ourselves with NO crop that year...

This IS a company that should be nationalized, with controls on their distribution and R&D. (Normally I am a great fan of research, but this is unacceptable in the hands of a for-profit entity.)
