New Year 2012: Obama Starts off Fresh! (And his signing statement is bullshit!)

With that "controversial" "NDAA-Let's throw Americans in Guantanamo" business officially behind us as the Obot signed that bill w/ an Obot disclaimer that legally means absolutely nothing, the Obot starts 2012 fresh.  How many women and children can he kill this year?  Well, with Iran looming, it could be a bumper year for the Obot.  He signed the bill with a Signing Statement that don't mean shit!  See the history of signing statements after the jump.
"Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude and perseverance. Let us remember that "if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom," it is a very serious consideration ... that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." ~ Samuel Adams

Happy New Year my fellow US Citizens, who can be detained by the military, indefinitely, and without a single charge if our Government and our President say so...  Does anybody still support this guy?!  Please get your head examined if you do.  Fear of the GOP is not a reason'.  Glen Greenwald has an excellent piece on the Progressives avid determination to keep their most beloved Hypocrite in office.  There are alternatives to Uniparty Inc., and yes, we really do need to get on the ball about rigged voting/counting machines!

Unless you were expecting a veto, there should be no surprise that Obama signed NDAA 2012, and on the final day of 2011 because those illuminati folks are so symbolic.  Don’t be fooled by the 'Signing Statement' that's being touted by the media.  It makes no difference what it says, but I haven't read one article that said 'Presidential Signing Statement' HAS NO LEGAL EFFECT
They're just presidential propaganda!  Obama's Signing Statement CHANGES NOTHING ABOUT NDAA 2012...  IT DOES NOT A CHANGE A SINGLE PROVISION OF NDAA 2012... IT DOES NOT CHANGE A WORD... the only thing to would have changed anything is a VETO.
Update - GOV has declared America is a battlefield and 'The People' are the enemy.  What is the next oppressive step in America?   H.R. 3166, 'Enemy Expatriation Act'.  US Citizenship!  Lose it if "engaging in, or purposefully and materially supporting, hostilities against the United States."  It defines "hostilities" as any conflict subject to the laws of war.  H.R.3166 will amend 8 U.S.S. 1481 if it passes.  PLEASE take note that the proposed 'Enemy Expatriation Act', does not say the citizen would lose citizenship "if and when he is convicted" as it states in section (7) [which covers acts such as "rebellion"].  Similar to NDAA 2012, it seems an allegation is all that is required.  In other words, Why bother with pesky trials?  If this totalitarian bill passes, POTUS can order the military to indefinitely detain anyone, without charge, and without further ado, they can strip US citizenship and all Constitutional protections.  Perhaps they plan to strip citizenship first since they are "required" to detain non-citizens.  H.R. 3166 is still in committee but tyranny is racing through Washington DC faster than People can WAKE UP!   More on this soon. []

I reflect on the past year and recall the ominous sign of dead birds dropping from the sky and I think NDAA and mass death make appropriate book ends for the year.  I stand by my theory on the mass animal deaths by the way (see here and here).  2011 hasn’t been lucky for Liberty, Justice and Peace and when the US has bombed eight nations, killed tens-of-thousands more people (most of whom were probably completely innocent) and gone broke doing it, I doubt I'm the only person that’s glad to see a new year.  There is nothing we can do to bring back the lives lost but we can do all we can to prevent future loss.  I certainly hope 2012 rings in some truth, peace and justice... it's time to put a stop to the globalist agenda.  NDAA 2012 may help deliver ‘The United People of America’. If this doesn't get America off the couch, I don't want to imagine what will.
Obama said he had “serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution” so he really should have given it a veto but we are talking about what’s best for ‘the agenda’.  The globalist media can’t completely hide the fact he signed such an UNCONSTITUTIONAL law, so they’re doing damage control by focusing on the ‘Presidential Signing Statement’.  However, the Law Library of Congress says a
“Presidential Signing Statement HAS NO LEGAL EFFECT”
Obama’s ‘Signing Statement’ is as good as his ‘personal assurance’ it’s safe to swim in the Gulf of Mexico and eat its seafood… as MILLIONS of gallons of poison were being sprayed on it and millions of People!  The Gulf of Mexico is NOT safe!!!  ‘Obama’s word’… yeah, wanna buy a bridge?  There are still US troops in Iraq, military trainers and tens-of-thousands of US tax-dollar-paid-for ’Private’ security/contractors WILL remain in Iraq.  Soldiers that just got back from Iraq are among the thousands that just got new orders to go to Afghanistan.  To borrow a quote from John Lennon, "WAR IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT"... but  Iraq war is not over, no matter what Obama says!  Gay Rights and Women’s Rights don’t mean a whole lot when Human Rights and Constitutional Rights are reduced to nothing?  We still have the Second Amendment and people are taking advantage of that.  The record for gun registrations was Black Friday 2011.
The President has a duty to not sign a law that could be unconstitutional, because the President takes an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution.  Congress takes that oath too but apparently most of them don’t give a shit. The signers of NDAA 2012 know we didn’t want them to slaughter the Bill of Rights, but they did, and they must be removed from office and charged with Seditious Conspiracy!  2012 is the time for Justice, Liberty, Peace and the Rule of Law!
Montana has started the process to recall of their Senators who voted for NDAA… and there better be more.  Those traitors don’t give a damn about the Rule of Law so who needs them to make the laws?!  They don’t care about us or what we think and it sure as hell doesn’t seem like they need our vote when they vote for shit like NDAA 2012.  I think they are counting on the Diebold vote.  I’ve had enough of the warmongers and their senseless killing of INNOCENT People and slaying Liberty… no other political issues are more important than Peace and Freedom!  NO MORE WAR!!!  NOW is the time to STOP RIGGED ELECTIONS!  We need a legitimate voting system, like yesterday!
Hitler's Germany made laws to remove the Rights of Jews... before they imprisoned them... before they killed them.  Dissent has been rising across this American battlefield; the Army has been hiring Internment/Resettlement Specialist and the National Guard troops have been asked if they’d use “lethal force on American people if ordered to do so”.   I don’t know the plan because I can’t think like a psychopath, but I do know the US government put US citizens in internment camp during WWII.  Welcome to 2012, Orwell’s 1984 and Germany’s 1933…  America is a battlefield and The People are the enemy.  They rule with fear and our only option is to resist! Congress and Presidents swear to "Preserve, Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States" and yet they are destroying it.  This is the year to make the change happen.  2012 elections are coming so we can’t waste a second on Uniparty clowns… we must swiftly address the issue of rigged elections and demand the solution.  GET INVOLVED as if everything depends on it, because it does.  2012 will be a defining year for the future of Humanity… Please don’t let our kids down!!!
It is repulsive that any American citizen is still spreading misinformation about NDAA 2012 but the web is crawling with lies (some still claim NDAA does not apply to US citizens).  I've never been banned or had so many facts w/comments removed before this issue... censorship is nothing new to me but this one beats em all.  It is a whopper!  I am fairly tame when it comes to other sites as I just want to share the truth.  An honest writer appreciates the facts, but it is intentional misinformation when they go so far as to remove reality.  Two websites I've followed and respected for quite some time have gone completely bonkers recently so watch out for the moles that bait you with the truth and switch to steer you off a cliff.  Shills and infiltrates are expected in a closing society I suppose, but they'll be exposed, sooner or later.  What is the price for selling out one's country?  Don’t be conned by traitors peddling propaganda, NDAA 2012 is a tragedy to the Bill of Rights, period.  If anyone is unmoved by the threat, they should consider the serious concerns by civil liberties groups like ACLU and HRW and legal experts like the National Lawyers Guild and Members of CongressThis law is destructive to the Bill of Rights and every lawyer know this to be true and that includes the President.  It is his sworn duty to veto such laws as President Truman did during the McCarthy era.

National Lawyers Guild condemns NDAA provisions on indefinite detention:
"After over a decade of the so-called “War on Terror,” President Barack Obama is about to sign the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law. The NDAA permits the indefinite detention of anyone, including citizens of the United States, who “was part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces, under the law of war until the end of hostilities” – an extremely problematic and vague definition. In addition, it permits the transfer of any detained individuals to any foreign country and trial of such persons before a military tribunal.
The National Lawyers Guild adds its voice to the many others who oppose this legislation. Our opposition is not based solely on the fact that this bill allows indefinite detention of US citizens and residents or that the presumed “battlefield” encompasses the entire globe. We oppose indefinite detention without trial because it is immoral and cruel and because it violates the U.S. Constitution and international law."

Presidential Signing Statements - Law Library of Congress (Library of Congress):
"Unlike vetoes, signing statements are not part of the legislative process as set forth in the Constitution, and HAVE NO LEGAL EFFECT. A signed law is still a law regardless of what the President says in an accompanying signing statement." http://www.loc.gov/law/help/statements.php

Since citizen detention is now Obama’s-law-of-the-land, Obama’s words on preventative detention are of concern, therefore, this video is worth repeating

Obama said -
"In our Constitutional system, prolonged detention should not be the decision of any one man.  If and when we determine that the United States must hold individuals to keep them from carrying out an act of war, we will do so within a system that involves judicial and congressional oversight.  So going forward, my administration will work with Congress to develop an appropriate legal regime so that our efforts are consistent with our values and our Constitution"--
That kind of "legal regime" is "appropriate" for a totalitarian regime~

"It is not pleasant to face, but our children are done for if we proceed down either of the paths you are obsessing over the choice between. Behind curtain A is increased plutocratic militarization. Behind curtain B is the same damn thing. It's an evil choice. Choose which of your children should be shot. This one. No, wait. This one. It is not a choice we have time to dignify with our attention. It is not something we should waste 10 months of inaction and misdirected resources on.

Well done examination of the Unconstitutional NDAA 2012,
'Three myths about the detention bill';
It is worthwhile to briefly examine — and debunk — the three principal myths being spread by supporters of this bill, and to do so very simply: by citing the relevant provisions of the bill, as well as the relevant passages of the original 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF), so that everyone can judge for themselves what this bill actually includes...
Myth # 1: This bill does not codify indefinite detention
Myth #2: The bill does not expand the scope of the War on Terror as defined by the 2001 AUMF
Myth #3: U.S. citizens are exempted from this new bill
Read it, Share it, debunk the propaganda!

Obama promised to make ending the war in Iraq his first act in office. Then he did what he could to avoid ending it. United States of Indefinite Detention for ALL, No Charge, No Trial, No Attorney... the Militarized Police State of America.

UPDATE - Dec 31, 2011
End of the year signing, how symbolic,
OBAMA SIGNED NDAA 2011 today
Obama has "serious reservations" about NDAA 2012 but he chose not to veto.  He added a Presidential Signing Statement.  However, a

Presidential Signing Statement HAS NO LEGAL EFFECT!

"Unlike vetoes, signing statements are not part of the legislative process as set forth in the Constitution, and HAVE NO LEGAL EFFECT. A signed law is still a law regardless of what the President says in an accompanying signing statement."

Obama's Signing Statement said he "signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists. Over the last several years, my Administration has developed an effective, sustainable framework for the detention, interrogation and trial of suspected terrorists..."

The President has a duty not to sign a law which in a given circumstance would be unconstitutional, because the President takes an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution. (Article II, Section 1).
Obama says one thing and does the opposite!  His signing statements are just as good as his word and Obama has shown NO RESPECT for The RULE of LAW.

Tyranny and Oppression

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."
~ James Madison, 'Father of the Constitution' and fourth US President

[The First Ten Constitutional Amendments] The Bill of Rights was ratified by the 1st US Congress on December 15, 1791 and slaughtered by the 112th Congress Thursday, exactly 220 years later.  Senator Udall said, “If we start labeling our citizens as enemies of the United States without any due process, I think we will have done serious damage” and then Senator Udall voted for it.  Serious damage, you betcha!  Totalitarianism.

In another twist of irony on Thursday, Bill of Rights Day, the Justice Department accused Sheriff Joe Arpaio of engaging in “unconstitutional policing” by unfairly targeting Latinos for detention and arrest and retaliating against those who complain.  It just so happens that Thomas E. Perez, Assistant Attorney General on the case is Latino.  I can't say it's personal for Mr Perez because the Justice Dept was all about protecting rights for minorities last week.  Attorney General Eric Holder says stricter laws on voter ID will hurt minorities.  I'm all for voter rights but a lot of current laws are too lax.  I'd rather see Holder tackling the rigged diebold vote because that is a much bigger problem!  I'm not going into the issues but the point is, DOJ is on the protect-rights-bus, so quick, alert the Justice Department to the bullshit 'unconstitutional military policing' by the traitors on the Hill!  Let 'em  know lawmakers, civil liberty groups and Americans are screaming about CONgress and Obama's 'unconstitutional military policing'!  Tell the Justice Department to STOP martial law of the land!  WE DEMAND JUSTICE, LIBERTY and FREEEDOM!  Remind them of the fact it violates Posse Comitatus Act and the Constitution.  There is no justice when a [Constitutional lawyer] President ends due process for Americans!  Who am I kidding?  This is the Justice Dept that works the frauds.

I guess Congress missed Obama's preventative prolonged detention speech back in 2009.  It really is quite telling.  The whole thing is absurd but this part really gets me,  Obama Says -
"In our Constitutional system, prolonged detention should not be the decision of any one manIf and when we determine that the United States must hold individuals to keep them from carrying out an act of war, we will do so within a system that involves judicial and congressional oversight.  So going forward, my administration will work with Congress to develop an appropriate legal regime so that our efforts are consistent with our values and our Constitution"--
First of all, prolonged detention could never fit in to OUR Constitutional system, especially preventative.  Any kind of "legal regime" that is "appropriate" for prolonged detention is more appropriate for a totalitarian regimeIt seems clear to me that indefinite detention is something Obama has long wanted and citizen imprisonment in NDAA is the latest effort to make it part of his 'legal regime'... albeit UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!  America is a battlefield and its * citizens can be detained by military upon the order of this one man, the man who said in 2009, "it should not be the decision of any one man"... yet it is... because Congress just gave it to him for his UNCONSTITUTIONAL "legal regime"... and now that it is up to that one man to call for the indefinite detention of anyone... anywhere... Will he use it to prevent a crime that has not yet occurred?  That could be just about anything within the vague terms used in NDAA.  Maybe Big Brother has thought police or they'll just name anyone that disagrees with government actions/policy... which would include most everyone.  Men like George Bush and Barack Obama do whatever they want, just as Hitler's Germany "legal regime" did before they killed the Jews.  So with the rising dissent of the American People who are fed up with corruption and government run by corporations, it makes perfect sense that Obama requested Citizen Imprisonment Don't think that's the worst of it, because he wants prolonged preventative detention... can you say FEMA camps?!

Watch and Share Like the Wind:

An Open Message to Police and Military - PLEASE Spread this like the Wind!

The Patriot Act was just the beginning of the end for the US Constitution; subsequent Acts, Executive Orders and actions by those good-ol-boys all lead toward The Closing of American society.  The masses have been sleeping through it but the War on People has been raging for decades. This government has been committing high-treason for over twenty years; the biggest crime, right in our face, isn't seen by the sheeple, but this America is a battlefield is literally spelled out in black and white... they finally said it, 'We the People' are the enemy.  This Citizen Imprisonment Act topped off the past decade of change no one wants to believe in, but the sheeple better see it now.  There is a lot of denial floating down Main Street but they may catch on once Obama seals the deal for citizen imprisonment before the end of Human Rights Week...  It's a Rude Wake Up Call America,

Your Allotted Amount of Freedom has Expired!

'Father of the Constitution' James Madison said, "All men having power ought to be mistrusted", and he was right.  A US Senator Lindsey Graham says the enemy is "anyone alleged to be in opposition to the US government’s game"... a game?  a pastime?  as in amusement?  I am not entertained or amused!  Sen. Graham made such a strong argument for military detention but closed it by saying we must fight for “civil liberties and the American way of life. If we don’t fight for it, we’re going to lose it.”   The lawmakers that slaughtered the US Bill of Rights have done more damage to American life than 300+Million Americans combined!  I think the tyrant is coercing us to fight.  TPTB would love for protests to turn violent but that would play into their hands... why they coerce.  You may have noticed the trolls cruising the web will push for violence but that seems to be their only tactic recently, so stay sharp for infiltrators and provocateursI am a strong proponent of Peace, Liberty and Justice so I have never supported a terrorist or condoned any form of violence and I believe most Americans are the same... but they'll create a false flag so POTUS can call for martial law of the land and start filling up the FEMA camps.

The Bill of Rights isn't the only cost in NDAA this year, there's another $662,000,000,000.00 to finance the military so the warmongers can bomb all those nations so the war-profiteers can line their platinum pockets with gold... so TPTB can rule by fear.  Troops are coming home from Iraq but do not forget war is not over for Iraq and some US military trainers and over 50,000 private contractors will remain.  The last report said there are still over 200,000 US troops and supporting 'private contractors' in Afghanistan and they still have their sites on Syria and Iran"No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare."~ James Madison

There is an overdue bit of good news, the SEC charged six former executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with securities fraud... six tokens thrown under the bus.  I'd like to but I don't count on seeing them in jail.  Pssst, what about the big-fraudulent-fish like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan?!  Jail them all!  The last hushed bailout didn't change anything but the date for the euro fail, the more they do the worst it gets, so hang on for the ride folks.  The economy is just part of the problem and it's gonna get worse.  I probably shouldn't say this but some folks seem to think the US is headed toward civil war.  The military is already hiring internment camp officers, the National Guard survey that asked, Will you use lethal force against the American public if ordered to do so?'  I'd like to think no one in the military would use lethal force or imprison their own citizens, but in reality, ten years of hellish war takes its toll on anyone... there is always Blackwater/Xe/Academi.  Will the military divide?  Will people divide and turn against their neighbor  Not a pretty picture is it?  Maybe I'm feeling too cynical after this week and watching the Dumb American Bastard Sheeple for years, but the agenda has played out just as the conspiracy theorists have called it thus far.  The illuminati are sick and twisted; they've used the divide and conquer tactic all too well.  I don't like the thought at all, but from their point of view, civil war would take the population down and therefore makes the people easier to control (FEMA camps can not hold 300,000,000 people).  Or maybe they'll just add a new something-something to the chemical mix and spray us like pests, or maybe the Asian cabal will take down the illuminati and finally put them in their place... or China and Russia.  Gandhi said,
'The enemy is fear. We think it is hate; but, it is fear.'

I don't know what's going to happen but I do know The People better better wake the f*ck up and get busy uniting... and build some Staying Power!  For the sake of humanity, drop the petty arguments on issues that don't mean a damn thing if we're living in the New World Order.  Remember the fact WE OUTNUMBER THEM, AND THEY NEED US MORE THAN WE NEED THEM... that is our biggest strength and their biggest fear (reason their agenda likely calls for depopulation?)  With or without that scenario, FREEDOM HAS EXPIRED!  The time is now!  Stay Strong!  Peace ~

Important Update - On Friday, 12/16/11, "Senator Mark Udall, a member of the Senate Armed Services and Intelligence committees, announced that he has joined Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein in introducing the Due Process Guarantee Act of 2011, to clarify that American citizens apprehended inside the United States cannot be indefinitely detained by the military.  The bill also codifies a “clear-statement rule” that requires Congress to expressly authorize detention authority over U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. The protections are limited to those “apprehended in the United States” and exclude citizens who take up arms against the United States on a foreign battlefield, such as Afghanistan."

Blackwater, Xe now Academi, has a new name but the game's the same
"Washington - Infamously known for killing 17 Iraqi civilians in Baghdad's Nisour Square in 2007, private security contractor Blackwater's name-changing continues, calling itself Academi, with a byline of Elite Training, Trusted Protection, and now wants back in Iraq.
The private security contractor once known as Blackwater, then known as Xe, is rebranding itself one more time, all in three years’ time, and while its new name may be Academi, its core focus is still the same: security service training and a Middle East country called Iraq.

Bradley Manning, who turned 24 today, has been detained since May 2010 (19 months) it was 9 months before charges were filed.  'Collateral Murder?' is the TRUTH about war and an example of what the government doesn't want you to know, but there is so much more.
Happy Birthday Bradley, Thank you for your courage!  Stay strong!
"The hearing is to determine whether Manning will face a court-martial. If his case goes to trial and he is convicted, he could face life in prison. The government has said it would not seek the death penalty...
The materials Manning is accused of leaking include hundreds of thousands of sensitive items: Iraq and Afghanistan war logs, State Department cables and a classified military video of a 2007 American helicopter attack in Iraq that killed 11 men, including a Reuters news photographer and his driver.
At the time, Manning, a native of Crescent, Okla., was a low-level intelligence analyst in Baghdad.
Manning, who turns 24 on Saturday, was detained in Iraq in May 2010 and moved to a Marine Corps brig at Quantico, Va., in July. Nine months later, the Army sent him to the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., after a series of claims by Manning of unlawful pretrial punishment...
Last month, 54 members of the European Parliament signed a letter to the US government raising concerns about Manning's 18-month pretrial confinement.

It took months for the Army to reach the conclusion that Manning was competent to stand trial. In the meantime Manning's civilian lawyer, Coombs, has sought to build a case that appears to rest in part on an assertion that the government's own reviews of the leaks concluded that little damage was done.

Nationwide, people are readying for Thursday's demonstrations against congresspersons who voted away rights from Americans with the NDAA 2012 and against the 1% who rule the United States with increasingly oppressive military force under the Obama administration as demonstrated in the Occupy Wall Street protests."

The moment they sign this NDAA into law, history shows that they themselves and their staff are the most physically endangered by it. They will immediately become, not the masters of the great might of the United States military, but its subjects and even, if history is any guide — and every single outcome of ramping up police state powers, unfortunately, that I have warned for years that history points to, has come to pass — sadly but inevitably, its very first targets."

The following letter expresses legitimate concerns by lawmakers.  Regardless of rhetoric by the globalists, their puppets in DC, their media or their trolls... NO American should find any comfort in the above clip and knowing lawmakers have such serious concerns!  As I listen to the Senate this very moment, there is still too much apprehension by lawmakers.  They make the laws and they should have no hesitation to insert clear language to exclude US citizens and legal resident from military detention, indefinite or otherwise, yet they do not.  They are supposed to follow the Rule of Law, and they do not even when lawmakers, civil rights groups and The American People have expressed their concerns.  Who is the threat?
This letter was written by U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, before the House vote because, “As we learn more about the Senate’s detention provisions, we are increasingly concerned with their breadth and their potential to authorize the indefinite detention of American citizens without charge or trial,”  Other signers were, U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Detroit, Rep. Michael Capuano. D-Mass.; Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Va.; Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C.; Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio,; Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va.; Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla.; Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Colo. and Rep. Rob Woodall, R-Ga.
Here is the full text of the letter:

Dear House Conferees:

The Senate’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) gives the President new authority to detain persons he suspects are associated with terrorism. As we learn more about the Senate’s detention provisions, we are increasingly concerned with their breadth and their potential to authorize the indefinite detention of American citizens without charge or trial. When you begin negotiations with your Senate counterparts in the coming weeks, we ask that you insist the detention provisions be stripped from the bill or modified to protect Americans’ constitutional rights.

Section 1031 of the Senate’s NDAA authorizes the President to detain persons who “substantially supported” forces “associated” with al-Qaeda or the Taliban that “are engaged in hostilities” against the U.S. or its “coalition partners.” None of the quoted terms are defined. We do not know what constitutes substantial support, hostilities, or our coalition partners. Critically, the bill does not attempt to define “associated forces,” either. Without knowing what qualifies as an associated force, no one can be sure they are safe from the government’s detention when they support any group.

We also are concerned that the Senate’s NDAA allows one past act of support for a group permanently to subject a person to detention. The Senate’s NDAA states that a person who “substantially supported . . . associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners” may be detained indefinitely. The bill thus allows one act of support for a group that at the time was not hostile to the U.S. to endanger the person’s future liberty.

For example, a person makes a one-time donation to a non-violent humanitarian group. Years later, the group commits hostile acts against an ally of the U.S. Under the Senate’s NDAA, if the President determines the group was “associated” with terrorists, the President is authorized to detain the donor indefinitely, and without charge or trial.

The Senate’s NDAA does not even distinguish between American citizens and non-citizens, or between persons caught domestically and abroad. The President’s power, in his discretion, to detain persons he determines have supported associated forces applies just as strongly to Americans seized on U.S. soil as it does to foreigners captured on a far away battlefield.

Our Constitution does not permit the federal government to detain American citizens indefinitely without charge or trial. We strongly believe in protecting the country’s security and equipping our Armed Forces with the tools they need to defeat our enemies. But we cannot support measures that, in the name of security, violate Americans’ constitutional rights.

House and Senate conferees will have the last chance to amend the bill. We ask that you take this final opportunity to narrow the broad and dangerous scope of the Senate’s NDAA."

Note to All - I realize this information is hard to accept but a lot of steps have been taken over the past decade but people are just catching on to the globalist agenda; the Police State has been growing but I suppose citizen imprisonment and permanent martial law will do that.  The traitors who signed this bill, their globalist-master's media and trolls are feeding the lies about citizen imprisonment in NDAA; they say amendment 1456, [which refers the question to "existing law"] erases all concerns because it excludes US citizens and legal residents from military detention. It does NOT! (see here)   This blog has a lot of facts and resources so if you're unclear about the globalist agenda, please peruse the site and/or do your own research.  The recent post 'Proof Obama will sign NDAA 1031 Citizen Imprisonment Law' and/or 'popular posts' and the links within are a good start to show you, it is them against usDo the research!  PLEASE avoid the globalist-owned media spin, lies and half-truths because MSM (main-stream-media) is an affective tool for Mind-Steering-Manipulation.  The globalist own MSM as a tool to distract and divide the people, whether it is left or right media, it all leads back to the same globalists (excellent example).  Propaganda is a powerful tool so the globalist own MSM (the Big Six) and they are only telling you what THEY want you to hear because they want to control you.  This site is one of many running the rinse cycle for the globalist propaganda; people MUST ignore the rhetoric and look at the facts, laws, whole-truths and events MSM doesn't deliver.  Truthers and movements like Occupy merely strive to expose the lies about the globalists who endanger humanity; we do so peacefully and their response is citizen imprisonment.  The truth is ugly but knowledge IS power because they can only accomplish their agenda if they remain in the shadow; illuminate the evil with light of truth.  Open your mind and search for TRUTH.  It is out there and the propaganda doesn't work if you are aware it is what it is... we all pay the price if you don't!  FREE HUMANITY!
