CHICAGO TO BUY SPYING STREET LAMPS
The city of Chicago plans to implement a new system monitoring weather,
noise and pollution levels, that is raising privacy concerns among some
civil liberties advocates. Devices will be placed on streetlamps that
will in addition to collecting data on atmospheric conditions, will also
detect the WiFi signals emanating from smartphones users who walked
underneath the sensors. Although designed to a benign system that will
protect privacy and collect information to be used in urban planning and
other areas, some are concerned about how it may be used in the future.

A New York high school is the latest in the nation to ban backpacks following several bomb threats, and has even taken extra steps, including sealing up students’ lockers.Today’s pedagogic institutions are redefining what the word freedom actually means and students are falling right into line:
For the last two weeks of the school year, students at Wantagh High School — located about 34 miles east of New York City — are being forced to carry their books and belongings in plastic bags, sign in and out to use the bathroom and submit to searches when entering the building. But the sealing up of lockers took school security to a new level.
“It is an inconvenience, but it’s like an airport really,” Erik Beuttenmuller, an 11th-grader at the school told Fox 5 New York.Karl Denninger of The Market Ticker weighs in:
What are we teaching our kids when we send them to prisons for 13 years out of their lives?
Yeah, bad things happen once in a while. But the key here is “once in a while.” They don’t happen often, statistically-speaking, and if we actually gave a damn about what was going on in these schools and excluded the abusive “kids” who are not there to learn but rather want to raise hell and abuse others we wouldn’t be having these problems.
Instead what we do is teach our kids that mass guilt is the response to one person who does an evil thing. Rather than punish bad acts we exercise prior restraint. We teach our kids from the first day that there are no individual consequences and rewards, only collective ones.
And the fact is that none of this actually makes anyone safer.
What it does do is condition our kids to living in a police state.

Support Helicopters Target Small Montana Town
Last week Attorney General Eric Holder launched a domestic terrorism task force. The new executive committee claims it will help keep America safe, but Holder’s own comments suggest what should be obvious, that the initiative is designed to target any American believed to be engaging in “dangerous” and broadly defined extremist activity.
If this were about protecting America from terrorists then how do we explain Eric Holder’s Justice Department and the Obama Administration failing to secure our southern border, where literally hundreds of thousands of unknown, unregistered illegal aliens are pouring into the United States? Isn’t it possible that such a gaping security hole could be taken advantage of by foreign nationals with ties to terror organizations?
Apparently not.
The real threat comes from disgruntled Americans right here at home. ”We must also concern ourselves with the continued danger we face from individuals within our own borders who may be motivated by a variety of other causes from anti-government animus to racial prejudice,” noted Holder when outlining the new plan.
Well, it didn’t take long for DHS to start integrating the new task force onto America’s streets.
Is it a coincidence that Eric Holder launches his new anti-terror agenda and then a week later Department of Homeland Security Weapons of Mass Destruction task force teams start showing up at Liberty Movement hubs like the small town of Kalispell, Montana?
As many who study the “war on terror” will agree, the apparatus implemented by the Federal Government to fight the phony war has been turned around on the American populace. Almost all large cities, and many smaller ones, have beefed up their armaments to ridiculous levels. Even the NY Times has noticed this phenomenon. Even the sparsely populated Flathead Valley, Montana is not immune from DHS intervention. With Kalispell, Montana being one of the hubs of the Liberty Movement, it comes as no surprise that DHS has set-up shop here.
In the interview below, I speak to an eyewitness who followed four of these vehicles through town. At one point, they were flanked by air support with a .50 caliber machine-gunner on back. Editor’s Note: We may not have drones dropping bombs on American citizens within the borders of the United States today, but the laws, regulations, and strategies currently being employed by the U.S. government could one day lead to the overt assassination of those deemed to be enemies of the state. AN ACT, which shall be known and may be cited as the “4th Amendment Protection Act.”
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF (STATE) DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Policy
A. It is the policy of this state to refuse material support, participation or assistance, to any federal agency which claims the power, or with any federal law, rule, regulation, or order which purports to authorize the collection of electronic data or metadata of any person(s) pursuant to any action not based on a warrant that particularly describes the person(s), place(s) and thing(s) to be searched or seized.
SECTION 2. Prohibition on State Actions
A. Notwithstanding any law, regulation, rule or order to the contrary, no agency of this state, political subdivision of this state, or employee of an agency or political subdivision acting in his or her official capacity, or corporation providing services on behalf of this state or a political subdivision of this state shall:
(1) Provide material support,
participation or assistance in any form, with any federal agency which
claims the power, or with any federal law, rule, regulation, order which
purports to authorize, the collection of electronic data or metadata of
any person(s) pursuant to any action not based on a warrant that
particularly describes the person(s), place(s) and thing(s) to be
searched or seized.
(2) Utilize any assets, state funds or
funds allocated by the state to local entities on or after (DATE), in
whole or in part, to engage in any activity that aids a federal agency,
federal agent, or corporation providing services to the federal
government in the collection of electronic data or metadata of any
person(s) pursuant to any action not based on a warrant that
particularly describes the person(s), place(s) and thing(s) to be
searched or seized.
(3) Provide services, or participate or
assist in any way with the providing of services to a federal agency,
federal agent, or corporation providing services to the federal
government which is involved in the collection of electronic data or
metadata of any person(s) pursuant to any action not based on a warrant
that particularly describes the person(s), place(s) and thing(s) to be
searched or seized.
(4) Use any information in a criminal
investigation or prosecution provided by any federal agency, agent, or
corporation providing services to the federal government, which was
obtained through the collection of electronic data or metadata of any
person(s) pursuant to any action not based on a warrant that
particularly describes the person(s), place(s) and thing(s) to be
searched or seized.
SECTION 3. Penalties A. A political subdivision of this state may not receive state grant funds if the political subdivision adopts a rule, order, ordinance, or policy under which the political subdivision violates Section 2 of this Act. State grant funds for the political subdivision shall be denied for the fiscal year following the year in which a final judicial determination in an action brought under this section is made that the political subdivision has intentionally required actions which violate the prohibitions in Section 2 of this Act.
B. Any agent or employee of this state, or of any political subdivision of this state who knowingly violates the prohibitions in Section 2 of this act shall be deemed to have resigned any commission from the State of (STATE) which he or she may possess, his or her office shall be deemed vacant, and he or she shall be forever thereafter ineligible to any office of trust, honor or emolument under the laws of this State.
C. Any corporation or person that provides services to or on behalf of this state and violates the prohibitions of Section 2 of this act shall be forever ineligible to act on behalf of, or provide services to, this state or any political subdivision of this state.
SECTION 4. Severability
The provisions of this act are severable. If any part of this act is declared invalid or unconstitutional, that declaration shall not affect the part which remains.
SECTION 5. Effective Date.
This act takes effect immediately upon approval by the Governor, the public safety requiring it.
